We're currently seeking a handy, tech savvy Entry Level CCTV Technician that can handle daily, often physically-demanding labor, and has a firm grasp on the fundamentals of CCTV installation, wire pulling, video surveillance and troubleshooting. Looking for a self-starter that does not need to be supervised, is focused on the job, and knows how to handle power tools, electronics and networking equipment. Candidate must be willing to travel occasionally, with notice. Starting rate is $17 per hour. Pay is weekly. Minimum qualifications: GED or high school diploma, minimum. Certification(s) preferred. Candidate must have evident, working knowledge of video surveillance systems. Excellent communication skills. Candidate must possess a valid Illinois license to drive and daily, reliable transportation. Candidate must possess own vehicle in order to drive to sites as necessary. Minimum Experience (must be able to demonstrate): (1) year of carpentry, electrical or handyman work OR: (1) year of electronics or low voltage work. Candidate must also have a demonstrable, basic understanding of the following: Installing, configuring and troubleshooting digital (IP) and analog cameras. Installing, configuring and troubleshooting DVRs and NVRs. Pulling, connecting and cutting analog and network cable to/from high altitudes and through various barriers. Basic home audio/visual systems. Basic computer functionality and operation. Basic computer networking and network security. Working successfully with residential and commercial customers. Skills: Candidate must: Know how to use power tools. Have Great Customer Service skills. Be tech savvy. Show initiative and be proactive. Must be a self-starter. Able to work independently. Job Description: Candidate will: Assist in the successful installation, configuration and troubleshooting of various video surveillance systems, audio/video systems, intercom and network computer systems, Monday through Friday. Perform a 40-hour work week. May require occasional Saturdays. Carry items over 50 lbs. Crawl through tight spaces. Climb ladders. Trace and align various cables from point(s) to multiple points, near and far. Work in a safe manner. Lend a helping hand to their colleagues.
