MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Amid concerns over recent protests in surrounding communities regarding the death of George Floyd in Minnesota, Mountain Brook has set a curfew for its residents from 7 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday. The curfew will renew daily until further notice. More details on the curfew can be read here. In essence, travel on city roads is limited to essential tasks, such as shopping for food, going to and from work and other exceptions. As well, school-related activities are exempt from the curfew.
