MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Anyone who might have heard several car horns Tuesday afternoon in Cherokee Bend heard a coronavirus-era birthday celebration of one of Mountain Brook's oldest residents.
Judge Robert Faircloth turned 100 years old Tuesday, and residents from all over the county drove by the longtime Jefferson County judge's home on Corinth Drive to wish him well.
Faircloth was celebrated with a birthday parade on his street by the Shades Valley Rotary Club, of which Faircloth has been a longtime member.
Faircloth is a World War II veteran and served on the bench in Jefferson County for decades. He greeted well-wishers while sitting in his front yard Tuesday with family and friends.
