Cocktails at 4:20, Doors open at 4:40 DUE TO LIMITED SPACE, ALL MEMBERS MUST RSVP TO RESERVE THEIR SEATS. _________________________________________________________________________________________ About Calvin: Since 2014 Calvin Barnes has been an integral part of Savannah’s jazz culture. In addition to being a member of the Teddy Adams Sextet and Savannah Jazz Orchestra, his trio has a monthly show at the DeSoto's Proof and Provision. He has also been a regular sideman for many live musical performances in the Savannah and Hilton Head region. His musical influences are varied, with a foundation in swing, bebop, postbop, rhythm and blues, traditional gospel, as well as classical music. He also serves as Vice President of Savannah Jazz making major contributions to our organization. Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance from Oberlin College as well as Biochemistry. In addition to his musical endeavors in Savannah, he is also a practicing physician, Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology, providing imaging services at Coastal Imaging. His quartet is joined by Eric Jones, Marc Cheasnow, and Robert Saunders.
