Digital Photography Workshop Taught by Professional Photographer The DPA Instructors who lead these workshops are professional photographers who have lived in Atlanta for at least 10 years, usually longer. For each Master Your Camera Controls class, a maximum of 5 attendees sit for 90 minutes with the instructor who will walk you through the manual camera controls of your specific camera. More than 5 attendees would be too chaotic if each person brings a different camera, with different controls. In this photo workshop, you’ll learn the controls of your specific camera or cellphone to take fantastic photographs. This course is helpful to any camera owner, no matter which company made their DSLR, mirrorless camera or any cellphone. After enrollment we procure the exact camera manufacturer and model in advance so the teacher is sure to point out any special features. This allows the photographer the option of overriding the automatic camera controls which sometimes disengage because the mechanics of the camera miscalculate the visual effect you are attempting. Some people choose to remain after the Master Your Camera Controls 90 minutes sessions comes to a conclusion. Other participants stay and spend the next 3 hours to join the DPA Instructor as he meanders within the locale and demonstrates and supervises easy-to-learn composition and lighting tricks to transform a lackluster snapshot into a powerful image that impresses any viewer. During the Composition-in-the-Field shoot, you will learn the secrets of the trade from professional photographers and new compositional techniques such as how to bring out the colors in nature and city, approach strangers for their photograph or catch them without their notice. Learn to use light and shadow to highlight certain details in your subjects. Please note – if a class must be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control we will be happy to work with you to reschedule or provide a refund.
