Purses for Promise is a purse-based silent auction and networking social, benefitting Promise 1000, a home visiting collaborative. United Way of Greater Kansas City's Women United invite you to join us for our first-ever, Purses for Promise, a purse-based silent auction, wine pull and networking social. Funds raised at this event will benefit Promise 1000 - so start thinking about what designer purse you've been eyeing! Promise 1000 is a home visit collaborative that connects local families experiencing low income and other stressors to resources that optimize the beginning years of life for young children prenatal to three years old – the first 1,000 days of life. This personalized approach helps improve maternal and newborn health, reduce the incidence of injury and violence, increase school readiness, and improve economic self-reliance of participating families. We continue to prioritize and monitor the health of our region in regards to the ever-changing pandemic. Our layout at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts will allow for social distancing and we encourage you to wear a mask when not eating or drinking.
