Celebrate Arizona Cocktail Weekend with IZO Spirits at BARCOA Agaveria! THE EVENT Learn about IZO Spirits' agave selections with three cocktails featuring different agave expressions and lively presentations on how the spirits are made at BARCOA on a beautiful Saturday afternoon during Arizona Cocktail Weekend! We're opening two hours early on February 19th for an IZO takeover of both levels of BARCOA. The Cantina will highlight an IZO Bacanora cocktail, presented by Compa Spirits. While the basement lounge will feature an elegant IZO Sotol cocktail & delightful IZO Cenizo mezcal cocktail, presented by IZO creators and reps. The private tasting room in the basement will show IZO videos to learn more about the brand; light snacks will be provided by Provecho; and bottles of IZO will be available for purchase for a special discount! WHO IS IZO?New to Arizona, IZO Spirits offers a premium collection of traditional, handcrafted, sustainably-produced Mexican spirits from Durango, Jalisco, and Sonora, Mexico. IZO speaks to generations of Mezcaleros, bringing people together around shared values of community. From the locally-sourced Onyx stoppers, to the elegant hand-applied labels, their meticulously prepared spirits offer perfectly-balanced flavors. Prioritizing renewable local resources, IZO relies on solar panels for power, independent water sources, and eco-conscious methods to preserve the wild beauty of agave regions for future generations. Wild harvested agave are replenished with plants from IZO's own nurseries. IZO Spirits was born from Gaston Martinez’s lifelong desire to bring the tradition and celebration of his Mexican heritage to the world. He brought this vision to his friend, Linda Belzberg and her son, Torrey, and together they created “IZO”, a partnership based on the love of the Mexican culture. MUST BE OVER 21 TO ATTEND We've been throwing food festivals that celebrate the amazing Phoenix food scene for 10 years. Our events are really affordable, super inclusive, and incredibly delicious. We believe in having integrity as people, producing fun, safe festivals, and promoting local chefs, food trucks, and other businesses.
