WAITING ON THE BUS, starring Bill Metts and Bruce Gallant ,two truly accomplished musicians, Join us for this whimsical ride !! Bill Metts Bill started playing fingerstyle guitar during the Country Blues revival of the 60s and fell in love with the music of Taj Mahal, Mississippi John Hurt, Doc Watson and others of that ilk. Just about everything that he has done since then has been in that down home finger-picking style. He has performed at the annual Mississippi John Hurt Blues Festival in Avalon Ms., at the historic Blue Front Café and at the famous Ground Zero in Clarksdale Mississippi as well. Though he has dabbled in all types of music, today he prefers to play and sing original tunes or traditional Americana roots music. Bruce Gallant Bruce has been writing songs for over 30 years. His songs reflect the different times in his life, And he considers them his journal. Music was always a part of his life. Family jamborees were a constant part of my family life. My Mom, uncles and numerous relatives and friends, all sang and played music .It was just part of life for me. I started writing songs in my late 20’s and have never stopped. Anything of importance in my life is in one of my songs. It is not a choice for me to write any more than breathing is. I need to write to survive.” Bruce played in several original music bands And performed at many events. Bruce, has 2 CD’s (1)“Her and ME” and “Living in Paradise”. Music from these CDs and much more can be heard and purchased at “Band Camp.com”. Currently Bruce dedicates himself to Hope By Song and has written over 60 songs for HBS Bruce is a member of the A.M.C.A. And a song writer circle host. During the day, Common Grounds is a meeting hall for a wide range of community and civic groups, educational classes and conferences. At night, we become a 50 seat, intimate performance venue with a state of the art sound system for acoustic musicians, poets, comedians, and performers.
