The First Annual Water Safety Symposium of Florida
The Water Safety Symposium of Florida is a call to action for ALL Florida residents to help reduce the number of fatal and non-fatal drownings throughout the State of Florida and beyond.
Drowning continues to be the number 1 cause of death for children 1 to 4 years of age. Year after year, the State of Florida loses enough children to fill 4+ classrooms of children as a result of drowning. In 2021, Florida unfortunately lost 98 children to drowning tragedies. CDC also reports that for every 1 fatality, 5 children are impacted by a non-fatal injury. Drownings are Preventable!
We must work together, to combat this issue.
