Press release from the Town of Westwood : 02/02/2022 8:00 PM  February 2, 2022 - Update from Eversource Gas Eversource Gas was working on Woodland Road and released an excess of mercaptan (non-hazardous). Mercaptan is the chemical that gives gas the pungent odor of rotten eggs. To have you home metered by Eversource, dial 800-592-2000. If you have an emergency, dial 911. No natural gas has been leaked, just the odorant.
