NEW YORK CITY — Mayor Eric Adams' campaign promise that he'd reach out to all New Yorkers apparently extends to disgraced former governors.
Adams dined Tuesday with Andrew Cuomo, the New York Post first reported.
The pair breaking bread at Osteria La Baia in Midtown raised eyebrows, especially since Adams previously said Cuomo's resignation was "necessary" given the former governor's swirl of sexual harassment accusations.
Adams defended his dinner, the Associated Press reported.
"I was clear that Governor Cuomo should have stepped down when he did, and I don't step away from that position," Adams said on CNN.
"But I am not going to leave any stones unturned in getting my city back under control to deal with violence, our economy, and how to navigate all of the lawmakers in this city and state."
