Waynesboro Waynesboro April 2nd | 8pm | $5 Waynesboro is a four-piece Americana-forward jam band based out of Dexter, Michigan. Led by songwriter Wayne Amber (singer/acoustic guitar) and backed by improvisational musicians Mike Kovacich (electric guitar), Dan Sopoci (electric bass), and Aaron Brown (Cajon drum). This band doesn’t really fit well into a single genre, often flipping between rootsy Americana, psychedelic rock, blues, and jazz. As a creative example, they’ve got a thing about re-creating jazz standards in their own unique style. Think Dave Brubeck’s “Take Five” but with invented lyrics and a grungy guitar solo. There’s a little something for everyone, but they’d happily give everything for nobody!
