Here are the top 3 stories in Buffalo today: A CODE BLUE was issued for Buffalo and also for southern Erie County on Thursday night into Friday. The area is expected to get heavy snowfall and road conditions may be dangerous. Officials warn residents to stay inside and for those without homes, there are shelters open and listed at the link. (WGRZ.com) The HANSA Workspace in Buffalo has publicized their newest exhibit, "Herd About Buffalo." The artist in residence, Dr. Catherine Fisher Collins, decided to publish photos of the Herd About Buffalo exhibit around the city to help raise awareness for colorectal cancer. The original Herd About Buffalo campaign gave fiberglass buffalos as awards to artists and also raised donations to benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the Burchfield-Penney Art Center. The exhibit will be on display at 505 Ellicott Street throughout the winter months. (Buffalo Rising) A plan to give $10 gas cards to parents was proposed this week by the Buffalo Public Schools Board. Buffalo Public Schools is considering this plan to help students get to school on time without having to wait out in the cold if buses aren't running on schedule.
