Swastika Graffiti Reported On Manassas Overpass: Police

MANASSAS, VA — Police found a swastika spray painted onto an overpass in Manassas on Wednesday morning, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities said the graffiti included the swastika and numbers, but there was no specific threat. Prince William County police officers said they were driving north on Prince William Parkway and noticed that one of the pillars was vandalized near the Lucasville Road overpass. Authorities said the swastika and numbers were visible to drivers who traveled along Prince William Parkway. The drawings did not appear to contain any threats, police reported. The police department notified the Virginia Department of Transportation so it could remove the graffiti. No other vandalism was reported nearby. In June 2021, the police department learned of phone messages that threatened the Jewish Temple of Congregation Ner Shalom on Spriggs Road in Woodbridge.
