HERNDON, VA — Dominion Energy reported that 1,877 customers were without power Thursday afternoon due to a downed power line. Dominion crews were on the scene of the downed power line, which was blocking the W&OD Trail between Herndon Parkway and Van Buren Street, according to a 3:30 p.m. post on the Herndon Police Department's official Twitter account. Dominion Power estimated that power would be restored between 5-8 p.m. This is a developing situation that will be updated as more information becomes available.
