APS' Refugee & Newcomers Supports Program is offering a series of Professional Development for APS educators designed to help better serve Recently-arrived English Learners (RAEL).
One session is an overview of supporting refugee/newcomer students and three trainings will cover culturally specific topics related to K-12 education.
You can sign up for these sessions through Powerschool External link . There are 30 spaces available for each training so sign up before they fill up! These trainings will be conducted virtually and by APS Refugee Case Managers who are from these communities and can speak from their personal experience and professional experience as well.
