PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton University is no longer limiting the number of spectators who can attend indoor athletic competitions. The decision came on Tuesday, Feb. 1, as the university also lifted the 20-person gathering limit for undergraduates.
Fans are no longer required to complete a COVID-19 attestation form on the Princeton Athletics App to attend indoor sporting events.
Under the new guidelines, spectators can return to watch indoor games, as long as they follow the University's COVID-19 protocols. Earlier only staff and students who were fully complied with the protocols could attend games.
Going forward, all COVID-19 vaccine eligible spectators ages 5 and up must show proof of vaccination to gain admission to any game. Adults must show a valid government or school-issued photo ID.
Acceptable forms of vaccination proof include a physical vaccination card, a photo of the vaccination card or a digital vaccine record.
However, a negative COVID-19 test or vaccination waivers are not valid to gain admission, the University said.
Masks are mandatory for all spectators, including children under the age of 5 who are not vaccinated. Outside food is still not permitted at venues.
