Here are the top stories today in Denver: City refuses to help, so Elyria-Swansea business owner forced to rent dumpster for a nearby encampment. You've see the trash piles that accumulate around homeless encampments, and even with the help of a city councilwoman, the city's response to the request: "City officials are aware of this location and are considering various alternatives but, at this time, won't be putting a dumpster there." (Denverite) Pueblo steel mill is expanding its solar power capacity. Once the plant is operating at full capacity, the facility will process around a billion pounds of steel a year turning it into millions of feet of rail for train tracks. (CPR)Man pepper-sprays fast-food employees in Aurora. Aurora Police are looking for a man they say assaulted employees and damaged property at a McDonald's on East Colfax. (FOX31)New data shows Denver's diners are wary about eating in. A study from Open Table, an online reservation system, indicate that Denver's restaurant-goers appear to have stagnated since last spring, as back-to-back COVID-19 variants swooped in. (Axios)With a new Broncos owner coming soon, the Sun Valley neighborhood imagines a new dawn. Residents are hopeful the new team owner will get onboard with the Stadium District Master Plan.
