Press release from the City of Colorado Springs: 2022-02-02 Residents can register online to be notified when a new date for the public meeting is announced COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Due to the snow event and the closure of City of Colorado Springs facilities, the second virtual public meeting for the Midland Corridor Transportation study, originally set for on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 5:30 p.m., will be rescheduled. The new date to host the virtual meeting has not been determined. Residents who want to be directly informed of the new date and time can register for the meeting by visiting ColoradoSprings.gov/MidlandCorridor (link is external). Residents who have already registered do not have to do so again. The Midland Corridor Transportation Study corridor includes Colorado Avenue, Cucharras Street, Pikes Peak Avenue, and the Midland Trail, from 31st Street on the west to Cimino Drive on the east. The study will identify transportation improvements to address mobility, parking, and safety for all users in the study area, and supports the goals outlined in PlanCOS (link is external), the City's comprehensive planA comprehensive plan is a guiding document that provides a framework for city policies and priorities regarding the physical development of the city. It is a long-range vision of what we want our city to become and is a tool for making decisions about how that vision should be achieved. It outlines strategic steps to make the vision a reality and provides targeted and strategic planning of the physical development of the city., and ConnectCOS (link is external), the City's 20-year transportation plan.
