Apply for Bedford Women’s Club Charity Funds by Feb. 15 Nonprofit organizations that serve Bedford residents are invited to apply for a donation from the Bedford Women’s Club. Organizations interested should fill out an application form, which can be accessed on the club’s website, www.bedfordwomensclub.org. Click on the Scholarships and Charities tab, and select Charitable Donation Form to download a copy. Applications must be postmarked no later than Feb. 15. The two-page application requests information such as the name of the nonprofit, a short history (including date established and mission statement), funding sources (federal, state, local, grants), a plan for using the money and the contact person. Established in 1905, the Bedford Women’s Club provides an opportunity for Bedford women to meet socially and pursue many activities. The club holds several fundraisers a year and distributes charitable donations in May. Past recipients include local food pantries, Meals on Wheels, historical societies, veterans support groups and the Stand by Me program for middle school students.
