Description
WOBURN, MA — Federal grant applications are now available for Woburn small businesses with coronavirus-related difficulties, the city said Tuesday.
Woburn was one of 23 communities in the state to receive special virus-related funding. $340,000 will be available for grants up to $10,000. The city hopes that 30 to 40 businesses will qualify, it said.
For-profit businesses with five or fewer employees, one of whom owns the business, will be eligible. Certain business types including real estate, chains, liquor stores, weapons dealers, lobbyists and cannabis-related businesses are excluded.
The grant application is through the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation. More information from the city is available here.
