Want to add a new member to your family and give back to the Canton community at the same time? Consider adopting a pet from a local shelter. Many animal shelters in and around Canton are still working to find forever homes for dozens of cats, dogs and other adorable critters coming through. Over 6 million pets and other companion animals are taken in each year by shelters nationwide, according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
