Press release from the City of Raleigh: Feb 2, 2022 National Girls and Women in Sports Day, often abbreviated as NGWSD, has become a day where we commemorate all women athletes, honor their achievements, the positive impacts of inclusion of women in sports, and to address the ongoing challenges women face regarding participation in sports activities. To commemorate the day in Raleigh Parks and Recreation, we decided to interview some of our amazing athletes from our very own Girls Basketball Program.
