HOOVER, AL — Hoover High School with have to wait another week to start its 2020 football season. The Bucs' opponent, Dothan High School has had to cancel the game due to COVID-19 quarantine, according to a WBRC report. Hoover officials said they will search for another opponent, but with the game scheduled for this coming Friday, finding a new opponent might be difficult. Earlier in the month, Vestavia Hills High School cancelled the first two games of its season, leaving Mountain Brook — who was the Rebels' first opponent — without a game this Friday as well.
