Teen Accused In Street Robbery Arrested

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police arrested a teen on Wednesday accused of an armed street robbery that happened last month. The juvenile's name has not bee released. The robbery happened in the 2900 block of Adams Street on Jan. 12. According to police, "During the incident, two adult males were approached by two male subjects who displayed a handgun and demanded property. As the investigation progressed, investigators utilized technology to locate some of the victim's stolen property. The property was soon recovered, but both suspects remained outstanding." Detectives continued to work on the case and were able to identify one of the suspects who was linked to similar crimes in Oakland and Hayward. Police officers from those cities assisted with Wednesday's arrest at a Bay Area residence. "As a result, over a dozen items of stolen property and ammunition were recovered." Investigators continue their efforts to identify and locate the second suspect.
