What we do Our revolutionary electric, ventless, zero-emissions commercial coffee roaster uses clean technology and does not require gas lines or expensive ventilation. It’s the most consistent and controllable roaster available, the lowest carbon footprint commercial roaster ever made, and was designed by coffee people who want a better future for coffee roasting. Our roasting platform allows Bellwether customers to easily and responsibly source green coffee from incredible coffee farms around the world, expertly roast using artisan-crafted roast profiles (or create their own), and share fresh, delicious coffee just the way their customers like it. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute customer installations, maintenance, repairs and de-installations of Bellwether roasters in the region, in close collaboration with Bellwether’s LA Area Regional Sales Manager and our Operations and Customer Experience teams at HQ Provide timely and thoughtful communications to customers, delivering solutions to complex situations while minimizing customer effort Safely transport and deliver roasters using a company box truck with liftgate Perform site readiness surveys, manage vendors and approve installation sites Intake, assess and prioritize multiple high priority work orders Assist in determining root cause on field failures Troubleshoot and document novel field failures within SalesForce Field Service Lightning and Jira Manage a small storage facility and materials Hire vendors to complete work as needed Qualifications 5+ years relevant professional experience, particularly in mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment Excellent customer service and vendor management skills Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues to a range of audiences Self-starter, who is able to operate with a high level of autonomy, organization, and follow through Highly adaptable and quick on your feet! Ability to multitask, adjust the plan, devise solutions, and thrive in a fast-paced workflow Analytical with great attention to detail, documentation and focus on quality and safety in all aspects of work Ability to work and be on call during evenings and weekends, on both a scheduled and emergency basis, as needed; high level of flexibility Ability to drive a 24’ box truck, pass DMV history check, maintain valid driver's license and clean driving record Eligibility to work in the United States Proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 is required before commencing work onsite at Bellwether Headquarters and willingness to abide by all company COVID protocols Desired training/experience Degree in relevant engineering disciplines Experience in field services or in other technical roles Experience in diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electromechanical and/or electronic equipment Knowledge of pneumatics, high- and low-voltage electronics, mechanical linkages and assemblies or familiarity with commercial and residential electrical systems Experience leading technical training programs Ability to thrive working in a highly interdisciplinary team Physical Requirements Physical requirements included below are necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
