Responsible for warehouse order accuracy, productivity levels, and facility maintenance/safety. Coordinates warehouse activities under the direction of the Operations Manager and CPL Fairbanks Manager to train warehouse personnel, and to ensure a well-coordinated order picking as well as a shipping and receiving plan. This is a positing for our location in Fairbanks, Alaska.  RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the night crew in tasks; ensuring order accuracy, quality of product, cleanliness of the facility and other duties as assigned. Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to select and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner. Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory controls, etc. Responsible for warehouse overtime rates, communicating inventory status such as out-of stock product(s) to pickers, receiving errors, picking errors, and warehouse slotting of products. Generates warehouse productivity reports (i.e. piece count report), in regard to selection rates, receiving rates, and accounts for all labor hours, both direct and indirect. Adheres to labor distribution requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and division goals. Responsible for conveying maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs to Site Manager and Operations Manager. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform the distribution functions. Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of OSHA local and state regulations. Recommends equipment requirements and replacement to the Site Manager and Operations Manager to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency. Acts as replacement for the Site Manager during vacation periods, or when the Site Manager is unavailable to address warehouse concerns (staff meetings, disciplinary actions, etc.) Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: At least five (5) years’ experience in warehouse shipping and handling and at least two (2) years of experience in managing 5 or more employees. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have proven supervisory and effective communication skills. Tactful in human relations, in depth knowledge of food/produce warehouse procedures. Organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and respect for company policy.
