Wanted: Female Bassist / Background Vocals We're looking for a female bass player to join our band. Someone who can sing background vocals. If you sing lead vocals, you’ll be able to sing lead on some songs, as well, if you’d like. We do not play songs note for note. We don’t play songs exactly like the record and we add a high gain guitar sound. We’re more of a punk/metal pop sounding band than your typical classic rock band. About us: We are a male lead guitarist/lead vocalist and a female drummer. We play classic rock. We are much older than 40! We’re fun! Fully vaccinated and non-smokers. About you: Available to rehearse and do gigs. Comfortable playing with older musicians. Easy to get along with. Fully vaccinated. Non-smoker. You live in Culver City or surrounding area. We are currently playing in a small section of our garage (with the garage door open) until our new band room is ready. If the opportunity arises again, we’ll open for friends’ bands. We will, when ready, apply to play a set at a local venue. When we have enough songs, we we will find our own gigs. Here are examples of the type of songs that we are playing: Are You Gonna Go My Way, Born to Be Wild, Die to Live, Hard to Handle, Jenny (8675309), Jumpin’ Jack Flash, and Just What I Needed, Satisfaction and What I Like About You. We just added to our list: Basketcase, Highway Tune, Lit Up, Hush, My Own Worst Enemy, Rebel Rebel, Should I Stay or Should I Go, Bad Motor Scooter, No More Mister Nice Guy and Tie Your Mother Down. (Some we already know; some we are currently learning) Rehearsals are in Culver City so we prefer you to be local to Culver City since we will be rehearsing on Saturdays. Please be able to rehearse on Saturdays and again once during the week if we have a gig coming up. You must have your Saturdays open. We can move the rehearsal to Friday or Sunday if you have a special event on Saturday, i.e. a wedding or a memorial. If we still interest you, drop us a line!
