George Hildebrandt, Inc., a leader in the flat bed Industry for 70 years, is in need of results oriented Shift Supervisor for its subsidiary company Hudson Loading Services. Shift Supervisor: Will report directly to the Terminal Manger, with dotted line accountability to various management personnel within the company. This position will be responsible for SHIFT OPERATIONS. You will be managing a diverse team of 8 tarpers and 4 yard jockeys that are tasked with tarping loads in a safe and efficient manner, directing the team and working closely with Plant personnel to facilitate the loading activities. Scope of Accountability: The Shift Supervisor is expected to exercise leadership traits and has sound decision-making skills, keeping all team members on task. This is a hands-on position, working outside where the supervisor assists the team members as needed. This person is responsible shift reports, disciplining (coaching) associates within their team. Ability to use Microsoft office products, (Excel, Word, Power Point) prior experience with McLeod Software is a plus. 1-2 years prior supervisory experience is a must. CDL-A License is preferred.
