Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure spaces in the building are prepared for daily use by school and Temple. To include:
- Collect all garbage and/or recyclables place them in correct disposal dumpster,
- Tidying furniture, dusting surfaces, picking up prayer books,
- Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets,
- Fully clean and sanitize bathrooms, toilets, and sinks,
- Clean mirrors and windows,
- Refill paper towel, toilet paper and hand soap in all dispensers,
- Clean and sanitize small kitchen, appliances, floors, counters,
- Daily cleaning of all flooring and carpets; whether it be dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming,
gum removal, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor and spot cleaning glass
- Prepare rooms for various events: follow floor plan to set up tables, chairs, etc. in a timely fashion, and break down set
up after event
- Occasional heavy lifting involved for room set ups and break downs as well as supply inventory

- Respect for Jewish practices, including the Sabbath and the Jewish calendar and festivals
WORK SHIFT:
The hours for this position may change from week to week based on holidays and events at the synagogue, but on
average will be a total of 30 hours (night and day shifts).
