HOOVER, AL — Hoover City Hall will have a different look by the end of next year. That is because the building will undergo a $2.7 million renovation in 2020, a project expected to take approximately 10 months.
A Birmingham Business Journal report said the renovation will create more meeting space and nicer facilities and will address the moisture problems that have been an ongoing issue with the municipal buildings.
The project will include:Rebuilding council chambersRebuilding council conference roomRebuilding council officesRebuilding administrative officesBuilding a small conference roomExpanding third floor lobby areaAdding a new large room to the third floor for meeting space for the community and city employees. Repairing glass bridge that goes over Municipal Lane to the Hoover Public LibraryPublic meetings will be held at the Hoover Senior Center until renovations are complete.
