Technical Requirements:
A survey party chief employed with RLS must be an exceptional leader and proficient in all aspects of land surveying field work. A strong understanding of methods and standards, proper measurement, and both conventional and GPS equipment operation is mandatory. Experience performing numerous types of surveys including but limited to boundary surveys, topographical surveys, control surveys, ALTA surveys, route and utility surveys and as-built surveys is required.
Job Responsibilities:
Communicate with RLS Project Managers to understand project roles and requirements
Lead 2 and 3 person survey crews while executing field surveys accurately and efficiently
Supervise survey crew members in proper surveying technique/ equipment operations
Provide leadership in vehicle, instrument and equipment care and maintenance
Prepare thorough and accurate field notes
Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
5 years survey experience
2 years party chief experience
Proficient with conventional and GPS equipment
Proficient using laptop computers and data collection software
Availability to work out of town and some weekends required
Other Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Pipeline route and as-built survey experience
3D Laser Scanning Experience
Proficient with Microsoft Excel software
Underground Utility marking experience utilizing passive frequency, inductive and direct connect locating equipment

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
