Hoover Police Seek Leads In Stolen Credit Card Case

HOOVER, AL — Police in Hoover are working to identify two people they say could be connected to the case of a wallet stolen from the 1500 block of Montgomery Highway last month. In a social media post, police the stolen wallet contained $400 cash, a gold ring, a driver's license, credit and debit cards and other property. The stolen cards were then used in an attempt to purchase items at the Lowe's State Farm Parkway store in Homewood, but the purchase was declined. Police said the wallet may have been stolen by the driver of an early 2000s silver Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. Anyone who recognizes the man and woman pictured in this video is asked to contact Hoover Police Detective Clifton Washington at (205) 739-7242 or the department's non-emergency number at (205) 822-5300. Tips can also be submitted anonymously on the Hoover Police Department website. Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama also accepts anonymous tips online or by phone at 205-254-7777. Tips leading to an arrest could be rewarded with cash.
