The American Legion Band of Greater Kansas City, a community band with a more than 100-year history, will begin its 2022 season this spring. The band is looking to round out some sections of the band, particularly in the brass and woodwind sections. You do not need to be a veteran to join the band. The band performs at community, patriotic and memorial events throughout the year. The band rehearses in Overland Park on Monday evenings. It's not required for players to be available for every performance, but availability for a majority is appreciated. Must be able to read music. Decent sight-reading ability is a plus.
