Bluff Park Christmas Parade: What To Know

HOOVER, AL — The coronavirus pandemic has forced many of the Birmingham metro's holiday traditions to either cancel or adjust to different protocol, and that applies to Bluff Park's Christmas Parade this year. The parade would have occurred this Saturday, but preparations have forced the parade to be pushed back to December 12, starting at 10 a.m. Organizers ask that people driving to Bluff Park to watch the parade park at Shades Crest Baptist Church and Bluff Park Elementary School. The parade will follow its traditional route — starting and ending at the park next to the Shades Cliff Pool — and go behind the school on Cloudland Drive but not by Shades Crest Baptist on Park Avenue. Parade organizers are asking everyone participating in the parade and attending it to wear masks and to practice social distancing protocols.
