I had the idea to clean it up and eventually share this space with others. This project helped me to regularly get outside during the cold months and provided me with a physical space to grow and hold my optimism for the future. After a number of months of work, I’ve removed roughly fifteen bags of trash from this ‘secret spot’ and freed the trees from the tangles of a few hundred pounds of aggressive kudzu vines.
