ATLANTA, GA — Four players for the Atlanta Braves have tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus. Manager Brian Snitker confirmed Saturday that Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, Touki Toussaint and Pete Kozma have all tested positive, ESPN reported.
Snitker said Freeman, a four-time All-Star first baseman, is currently battling a fever, and it could be "a while" until he returns. Smith and Toussaint, both relief pitchers for the Braves, have been asymptomatic.
