Tickets Available For UAB's First Season At Protective Stadium

BIRMINGHAM, AL — With Birmingham's new Protective Stadium downtown on schedule to open in time for UAB's 2021 football season, UAB announced 2021 season tickets for the Blazers are on sale now. The 47,000-seat stadium has been under construction since 2018, and carried a $180 million price tag. Its location in Birmingham's Uptown District is expected to bring significant increases in business for the restaurants and bars in the district, as well as garner more support for the UAB football team. "This community has been instrumental to our success, and I would encourage everyone to go ahead and secure their place in history," UAB head coach Bill Clark said. "We are building something special here, and let's continue building it together as we prepare to make Protective Stadium our home in 2021." Season ticket packages start as low as $75 with the Family Zone season ticket. The public season ticket price is set at $125, and Blaze's Corner season tickets are also available for an affordable $100 per seat. Scholarship seating is available on the West and East side of Protective Stadium, and a total of 1,100 Stadium Club seats are available for $950 per seat. Fans will select their specific ticket locations during the 2021 UAB Football priority seat selection process which begins in April of 2021. Each patron's order of seat selection will be based upon the Blazer Boosters Priority Points system, which rewards Blazer fans for their generosity and loyalty. All support for UAB Athletics completed by the April 1, 2021 priority seat deadline will earn priority points, and each patron will be given a personal appointment time to select their seats at Protective Stadium. UAB employees and UAB Alumni are eligible receive a 10 percent discount off the season ticket price by calling the UAB Athletics Ticket Office at (205) 975-UAB1.
