BIRMINGHAM, AL — With November coming to a close this weekend, Jefferson County has seen the most significant spread of COVID-19 since the pandemic began, and has added more deaths from the virus than in any other month.
Thursday, the Jefferson County Department of Health confirmed 419 new cases of the virus in the county, and reported nine COVID-19 deaths. This continues a trend seen throughout the month.
In the last seven days, the county has averaged nearly 375 new COVID-19 cases, and has reported 10 deaths:
