Hiring for a premier service provider for window treatments in the Northshore of Chicago for residential and commercial customers. Our business offers sales and installation of blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies. We are actively looking to add to our Professional Installation Team. Our locally owned & operated franchise primarily serves Highland Park, IL and the surrounding Chicago Northshore Area. We have a proven track record for success, and are growing. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform in-home measurements and installations of our custom window treatment product lines Provide our customers with a positive experience with each measure and install appointment Leave a positive lasting impression with customers by demonstrating how to use the product before leaving the job site Communicate regularly with the Design Consultants as needed while on-site or to follow up. Use personal judgment and initiative to provide on-site solutions to challenges or obstacles pertaining to the installation of window treatments Training for product knowledge and installation techniques provided for the right candidate REQUIREMENTS: High School degree or equivalent; degree from a technical/vocational school is preferred Preferred minimum of 1 year of window treatment installation (blinds, shades, shutters or drapery) OR minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry, custom installation or a transferable skilled trade required A minimum 3 years of experience with the use of a common hand, and power tools including but not limited to power drill, impact driver and level Experience with multiple types of fasteners, anchors and drill bits Proven ability and experience accurately measuring within 1/8" with manual and laser measurers Ability to provide strong customer service and in-home service experience Ability to learn specialized product installation and for Hunter Douglas and Graber brands Strong spoken and written communications skills Punctual, reliable and possesses a great work ethic with integrity Polite interpersonal skills are a must; the ability to converse with customers as needed. Basic understanding of computers and mobile devices Valid driver's license and insurable Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and climb up / down ladders or scaffolding up to 18-20' in height. Most products weigh under 10 pounds and are installed under 9’ on a standard ladder. Flexible schedule, dependable pay, with most working hours Monday - Friday. Full Time or Contract positions will be considered.
