GEORGIA — While Thanksgiving 2020 gatherings are likely to be smaller because of coronavirus precautions, families are still cooking and sharing meals on Nov. 26. Their hours may be reduced, but many grocery stores will be open in Georgia on Thanksgiving for last-minute shopping trips for cleaning products or pie and whipped topping. Unlike recent years, retail giants Target and Walmart will not be open on Thanksgiving 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic. Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving Day, along with a list of those that are closed on the holiday: Albertson's: Select stores should be open from 6 a.m. until at least 10 p.m.CVS: Most stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Pharmacy hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day.Kroger: Most stores are open 24 hours. Some stores will open from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sprouts Farmers Market: Open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.The Fresh Market: All stores are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.Whole Foods: Many stores open 7 a.m., closing as early as 2 p.m. Call for hours.Save Mart: Most stores should be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.Save-A-Lot: Most stores will be open but some will open late and others close early. The grocery store suggests calling your nearby store for hours.Piggly Wiggly: Stores are independently owned, so call your location for their hours.Safeway: Stores will be open Thanksgiving. Call ahead to confirm hours. Whole Foods: Hours vary by location.
