This is the 45th annual Oyster Roast with Clam Chowder, BBQ , and Music! All proceeds go directly back into the community. The Ruritan Club was started in Holland Virginia in 1928 as a local community service organization and the Chuckatuck Ruritan Club was chartered shortly thereafter on January 16, 1930. Ruritan Clubs have served America with Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service. Over the years The Chuckatuck Ruritan Club has donated thousands of dollars each year to organizations that include and are not limited to the following: C.A.P.S, Western Tidewater Free Clinic, Meals on Wheels, Boys Scouts, BSA Eagle Projects, Boys and Girls State, Future Farmers of America, American Cancer Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Cheer Fund, and Libraries, just to name a few. This will be the 92nd Year of community service for the Chuckatuck Ruritan Club and we need your support to continue our commitment to the community.
