Join us for our first meeting of the year Our first meeting of the year is Thursday, February 17. We'll be meeting at One Life City Church, 601 E Valencia Dr, Fullerton, CA 92832, from 12-1:30; lunch provided. As God's church becomes more and more present in our city, the opportunities to participate in God's mission continues to grow. This month we will be hearing how God's people can come alongside God as he cares for those in Foster Care. We will also hear how to accompany and befriend those seeking asylum in the states. These are both great opportunities for our congregations to apprentice themselves to Jesus. We practice loving one another in our church communities, but we rarely practice loving others and being loved by others who are often our most forgotten, unseen, and unheard neighbors. I know from experience that my most profound moments of communion and formation with God have happened journeying with my friends who are immigrants and parents of foster children. As we continue to kick off our CO-Labs, please share these opportunities to join in God's mission with your congregations. ~Jason Phillips Fullerton ACT - Fullerton Advocating Community Transformation Fullerton ACT is simply churches partnering together and with God as he seeks to reconcile His creation to himself. We do this by connecting, training, and collaborating. We know that God is already at work bringing his Kingdom (making sure everything he wants done is done.) We want to be faithful to listen, and ACT with him in His Kingdom. We don’t just do this because we are “serving,” we do do these things because we know it helps us grow closer to Jesus when we work side by side with Him. It’s discipleship and in the end that what Jesus asked of us. We can’t teach others to do what we can’t do ourselves (Matthew 28:19-20.)
