Description

The Berkeley Tennis Club is a 115-year old private tennis club located at the foot of the Claremont Hotel & Spa on Tunnel Road, Berkeley. We are seeking a full-time morning custodian/light maintenance employee, preferably with pool upkeep experience or CPO, to join our team in keeping our clubhouse, grounds, and pool facilities in impeccable condition for our members. As part of our team you are: • Reliable and dependable. • Able to respond in an appropriate and timely manner to maintenance requests. • Able to complete assigned daily/routine tasks with minimal supervision. • You have an eye for detail, take great pride in your work and can provide exemplary customer service to our members. In addition to keeping our pool, clubhouse and grounds in pristine condition, additional tasks may include: • Helping ensure our facilities and equipment is maintained to local/state ordinance standards. • Maintaining inventory of janitorial supplies. • Identifying/completing minor repairs, calling in subcontractors when necessary. • Participation in an on-call emergency rotation. • Attending monthly staff meetings. • Performing other duties as assigned including set-up/break-down for tournaments and events. AM shifts are 6:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with flexibility to cover occasional weekend/PM shifts if necessary. Requirements as followed: • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role. • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination required. • Must pass a criminal background check. • Must be able to work with others in a positive and cooperative manner. • Able to lift 50 pounds from a standing position.
