Press release from the Town of Brookhaven: Feb. 1, 2022 On January 24, Supervisor Ed Romaine, Councilwoman Jane Bonner and Councilman Michael Loguercio attended the Coram Civic Association (CSA) meeting held at the Coram Fire Department headquarters. During the meeting, the elected officials met with the members and participated in the swearing-in of the officers. The Coram Civic Association is a group of community members from varied backgrounds who are working together toward a common goal as reflected in their mission statement: "To offer a unified voice while working toward bettering the quality of life in Coram." Supervisor Ed Romaine; Vice President, Kareem Nugdalla; Secretary, Jean Hartling; Treasurer, Chris Reilly; Sergeant-At-Arms, Robert Gluck; President, Erma Gluck; Corresponding Secretary, Kathrine Soscia; Membership Secretary, Vana McClure; Councilwoman Jane Bonner and Councilman Michael Loguercio. Supervisor Romaine said, "It was my pleasure to swear in the officers of the Coram Civic Association. They are an important part of the community and their members always engage in a lively and informative discussion. If people want to make a difference, I encourage them to get involved and join their local civic associations." Councilwoman Bonner said, "The Coram Civic Association has a long history of community service that has helped make it a great place to live. I congratulate all the current officers and look forward to working with them in the future." Councilman Loguercio said, "The members of the Coram Civic take great pride in their community. Meeting with these folks provides an excellent perspective of the issues that are important to them, and I look forward to our continued partnership."
