LITTLETON, CO — Littleton has selected the firm CPS HR Consulting to lead recruitment efforts for a new city manager after Littleton's current city manager announced a 2022 retirement, officials said. The process is expected to take several months and cost at least $25,000, city officials said. The California-based company leading the recruitment charge has specialized in the recruitment of city officials and non-profit professionals for nearly 20 years and has successfully recruited city managerial executives throughout the country, as well as in the neighboring areas of Aurora, Boulder and Woodland Park, according to a news release. City Manager Mark Relph — who has been serving in the position since 2017 — announced plans for his retirement on Dec. 7. Relph is set to retire on June 1, 2022. "I've had a rewarding career but my work with the City of Littleton has been the most gratifying. We have accomplished a lot and I couldn't have done anything without my talented staff and our supportive city council," Relph said in a statement. "We've got a lot of work to do between now and June, but I believe that after our city council retreat in February, we'll come out with a set of goals that we can hand off to the next city manager to accomplish."
