Here are the top stories in Denver today: Union Station is still a mess. Concerns persist at the Union Station, where transit workers and commuters continue to experience safety issues. (FOX31) Denver Sheriff's deputy killed in apparent murder-suicide. A deputy with the Denver Sheriff's Department was killed Monday in an apparent murder-suicide in Adams County. "Latasha Betterly-Byrd, who they say graduated from their academy in November of last year and was assigned to the Downtown Detention Center," according to 7News. (7News)Denver's mask mandate expires Thursday night. The Denver mask mandate that was extended through Feb. 3 will be allowed to expire. Businesses will no longer have to require face coverings for all indoor spaces, despite COVID-19 cases being higher that when the mandates were instituted. (CBS4) Coroner IDs Lakewood skier who died in crash at Copper Mountain. Lakewood resident Nicholas Vigil, 24, died on Jan. 20, when he was skiing with friends in a treed area when he lost control and crashed. (Summit Daily)Denver woman found dead on European vacation. Yana Rose, left for Europe with her husband in December, disappeared and was found dead in January. Denver business owner, Michael Martin Hoseyni, has returned to Spain to face charges in the case.
