Press release from the City of Irving: February 2, 2022 Update, Wednesday, Feb. 2, 1 p.m. Overnight road closures and construction work scheduled for Feb. 2 through Feb. 4 has been postponed due to winter weather conditions. Work is expected to resume Feb. 7, weather permitting. Original Message Beginning at 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31 through Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 5 a.m., TxDOT will close the intersection of Grauwyler Road and Loop 12, as well as the Loop 12 northbound frontage road from the Loop 12 northbound middle lane on-ramp to State Highway (SH) 183 due to bridge construction.  The roads will reopen at 5 a.m. and construction will commence on Tuesday, Feb. 1 from 9 p.m. to Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 5 a.m. The road construction and closures are anticipated to run through Friday, Feb. 4, weather-dependent. View the detour map.  In addition, contractors plan to work on the bridge over SH 183 from Friday, Feb. 4 at 9 p.m. to Saturday, Feb. 5 at 5 a.m. During this period, the SH 183 westbound middle lane from SH 114 to Loop 12 will be closed, weather dependent. View the detour map. Message boards alerting drivers of the detour are posted, and motorists are advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes.
