General labor position available in a clean industrial paper recycling warehouse. No experience needed. We train on the job (including forklift certification if interested) and promote from within. Starting at $14.50 hourly with a scheduled wage increase, paid sick days, vacation, and public holidays after 90 day probation period. Second scheduled raise at 6 months. Guaranteed minimum annual increase based on cost of living, plus performance and base wage reviews. This position is for first shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm), Monday to Friday. Position outline: * Load and unload paper rolls and cardboard cores in racking systems * Sort and separate inbound material by product * Using blades and other tools, strip paper from cardboard cores * Inspect and grade according to quality standards * Accurately record number of processed units * Bundle or package material as needed * Other general labor as required Requirements: * Able to stand, bend, and lift repeatedly (able to lift at least 50 lb) * Works well as part of a team * Steel-toes mandatory Details: * Paid sick days, paid vacation time, and paid public holidays after probation period of 90 days * Scheduled wage increases after 3 and 6 months with good performance and attendance * Guaranteed minimum annual increase based on cost of living, plus performance reviews * Increasing paid sick days and vacation time with length of service * We train on the job and promote from within - great opportunity to learn new skills! This can include forklift certification, equipment operation (balers, etc), order picking, shipping, slitter machine operation, and more. Update Regarding COVID-19 We take the safety of our employees very seriously, and follow recommended guidelines. Employees have no interaction with the public, and minimal interaction with other departments and employees within the warehouse. The facility is closed to outside visitors. Masks, gloves, and cleaning products are provided for all employees. Paid sick leave is available to all employees after 90 days.
