Here are the top three stories today in Des Moines: The Polk County Board of Supervisors voted on Tuesday morning to receive a 4% increase in pay for the upcoming fiscal year. These members include Des Moines officials. The pay increase will go into effect at the start of the fiscal year on July 1. The goal of this project is to improve surface water quality in Des Moines and the surrounding area. The project will cost around $600,000.
